The Art of the Garden

Because it involves working with constantly changing living objects, the designed garden may well be one of the most difficult of art forms.

The Art of the Garden tour explores the garden as art and examines the ways in which traditional art and plants are combined in a marriage that often expands the power of both partners.

Philadelphia has some of its finest examples of garden as art as well as some of the finest combinations of traditional art and the created landscape.
